A distinguished expert in Information Technology and Artificial Intelligence with over 22 years of experience in digital transformation and innovation, Dr. Al-Shuaili holds a PhD in ICT specializing in Technology Adoption, AI, and Digital Transformation. He currently serves as Director of the Artificial Intelligence and Advanced Technology Projects Unit at the Ministry of Transport, Communications and Information Technology (MTCIT), Sultanate of Oman, where he leads national-level AI and advanced technology initiatives across multiple sectors.
In addition, Dr. Al-Shuaili is the Founder and CEO of Maidaan AI and serves as Global AI Ambassador at the Global Council for Responsible AI. A recognized thought leader in AI and e-Government, he contributes to academia, international conferences, and media, and has been honored with multiple industry awards, including CIO of the Year 2023 by ETL.
